The senior living community West Fork at Weatherford held a heartwarming and fun-filled Family Night on Thursday, October 17, with a unique twist: its very own resident, Jeannie H., made a joyful return as her beloved character, “Kiki the Clown.”
The carnival-themed event created the perfect atmosphere for Jeannie to share her delightful talents and treasured memories with families, residents, and staff.
Jeannie, now in her 80s, spent many years bringing joy to children as “Kiki the Clown,” a role she cherishes and proudly shares through photo albums she keeps in her apartment. Known for her humor and warm personality, she is always eager to recount colorful memories of her years as a clown.
“Kiki” has a history that dates back to the 1950s. When Jeannie was a teenager, her beloved Sunday School teacher’s nickname was Kiki. It became a cherished part of her life story, resurfacing as the perfect name for her character when she joined the “Heaven Sent” Clown Ministry at her local Baptist church in 1987. As Kiki, Jeannie made appearances everywhere, from church events to Texas Instruments; her security badge even bore the clown’s image for a day.
Though retired from her role as Kiki the Clown, Jeannie still lights up at the sound of her nickname and was excited to share this special part of her life once again.
