In The Cottage, we understand that food is about nutrition and experience. We serve freshly made food with warm, friendly service. Our resident-centered menu is designed to abide by the latest nutritional guidelines in physical and cognitive wellness. We also offer individualized dietary monitoring and tailor menu selections according to the preferences of our residents.

In The Kitchen is an engaging piece of our activities program. Residents will help create a meal by shucking corn, mixing dough, or whisking batter to complete the selected dish. The Memory Care Coordinator will then take the ingredients into the kitchen to complete the food or snack for everyone to enjoy. Another example would be the Spice Club, where residents smell ingredients and discuss what recipes they could make or have made.

We designed The Cottage at The Ridglea as a calm, homelike, open environment to inspire comfort and community as well as provide plenty of opportunities for independence. Each well-appointed suite or private room is created to be both accessible and easily navigable and opens onto a spacious yet cozy living area. We encourage residents to bring personal belongings and make their new residence a home.

The Cottage features its own beautiful courtyard as well as a personal kitchen. Common area decorations are specifically chosen to inspire personal engagement, joyful tales, and happy memories. There are also plenty of cozy gathering spaces to encourage social interaction.
