What fashion trends have returned? What games do we still play? A lot can happen in 100 years!

  • Attire

    Women - The tailored blouse and skirt, seen below, was particularly popular with American women. Cycling was still a popular pastime for women during the early 1900s. Blouses and skirts, still layered over tightly corseted figures, were worn for leisurely bike trips.

    Men - Colors were dark, and a man was safe, sartorially speaking, in a black three-piece suit.

  • Music & Dance

    Music in the early 1900s, opera was the most popular music category and was produced in the home, most likely on a piano, from sheet music purchased from one of many sheet music companies.

    The dance that became the most popular during this time was the Foxtrot.
