Dionne Motal is Chief Human Resources Officer at Civitas Senior Living, where she provides strategic leadership and develops and executes human resource strategy in support of the company’s overall business plan and strategic direction. She specifically focuses on the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee relations.
With over 40 years of human resources experience, Dionne has spent the past 20 in senior living and joined Civitas in 2016. Dionne is passionate about working in the industry because she loves seniors and knows that providing leadership and support for employee programs ultimately leads to better resident care. She admires Civitas’ culture and entrepreneurial spirit and is known for her responsiveness to and thoughtful solutions for all levels of employees within the organization.
Dionne graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BS in Business Management and received her PHR Professional HR Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. In 2019, she was a finalist for Fort Worth HR Professional of the Year. She’s a member of Society of Human Resource Management and Texas Assisted Living Association (TALA), where she presented in 2018. When she’s not continuing to make a difference professionally with every employee, Dionne enjoys hiking in Colorado or any mountainous region and going to the movies. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of 40 years, three children, five grandchildren, and six pets.
