A Memory Care Community

In The Cottage, food is about both nutrition and the experience. We serve freshly made meals with warm, friendly service and offer a resident-centered menu designed to abide by the latest nutritional guidelines in physical and cognitive wellness. Individualized dietary monitoring and tailored menu selections are also provided according to residents’ preferences.

In The Kitchen is an engaging piece of our activities program. Residents help create a meal by shucking corn, mixing dough, or whisking batter to complete the selected dish. The Memory Care Coordinator takes the ingredients into the kitchen and completes the food or snack for everyone to enjoy. We also have Spice Club, where residents smell the ingredients and discuss which recipes they could make or have made.

By creating opportunities to engage with our residents using food, we go beyond providing a healthy diet and into another way to connect.
