Willow Park Senior Community Celebrates Resident Ambassador Nancy

Clear Fork of Willow Park proudly announces Nancy P. as one of its esteemed resident ambassadors. With her vibrant personality and active engagement within the community, Nancy embodies the spirit of Clear Fork of Willow Park’s commitment to enriching residents’ lives. Nancy is a retired nurse of 42 years and a TCU graduate. A Fort Worth native, she has found her second home at Clear Fork since becoming a resident six years ago, where she thrives in various activities and brings her creative flair to every endeavor.

At the age of 71, soon to be 72 in October, Nancy embodies the spirit of community engagement as a resident ambassador. She welcomes new residents, inviting them to join the plethora of activities and events available at Clear Fork of Willow Park. Nancy’s dedication to cultivating connections and creating a welcoming environment has enriched the lives of countless individuals within the community.

Helping New Residents

Reflecting on her experience in the community, Nancy shares her perspective on senior living with grace and positivity. “I’ve always experienced kindness and respect here,” she remarked. When families are unsure about senior living, she shares her perspective to put them at ease. “If it’s necessary to live in the senior living center, don’t be afraid to look around; it’s much nicer than you would expect.”

Staying Involved

Nancy’s zest for life is evident in her active participation in various activities. She has a particular fondness for bingo, where she showcases her competitive spirit by playing with an impressive 8-10 cards per game. Nancy holds the Clear Fork of Willow Park record for most bingo wins. She is also renowned as the “Picasso” of Clear Fork for showcasing her creativity and talent. Her artistic skills shine through in her craftwork, adding a touch of beauty and inspiration to the community.

Outside of her life in the community, Nancy cherishes her family dearly. As a widow of 45 years, she finds joy in her three daughters and eight grandchildren and the anticipation of her first great-grandchild’s arrival. With a loving spouse and a fulfilling career spent primarily at Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth (now THR Downtown), Nancy’s journey is a testament to a life well-lived and continues to inspire those around her.
