The Hamptons of Tyler recently welcomed the Tyler Junior College (TJC) Apache Belles for a special dance performance.
The event, led by Artistic Director and Choreographer Christy Evans, was a meaningful evening for both residents and the Belles, as many Hamptons residents share personal connections to TJC.
One resident, Vida W., was an Apache Belle herself in 1949 and especially looking forward to the performance. Vida’s memories of being part of the renowned dance team have remained a significant part of her life, and she was eager to see the next generation of dancers in action.

“We’re beyond excited to have had the Apache Belles with us,” said Sara Teichgraeber, Activities Director of The Hamptons of Tyler. “Many of our residents attended TJC or have loved ones who did, and this performance brought back cherished memories for them. It was also a wonderful opportunity to honor Vida and her lasting connection to the Apache Belles.”
