HOW DO I AFFORD ALL THIS?

Love Under the Rainbow: Lesbian Senior Couple Given Colorful Bash

Get ready for a love story like no other at Harvest of Roanoke. On Sunday, September 22, at 3 p.m., the senior living community transformed into a rainbow wonderland to celebrate two incredible women, Charlotte Morrison and Lou Strickland, as they marked 24 years of partnership with a joyous wedding celebration.

Harvest of Roanoke | Char and Lou celebrating their anniversary
We celebrated Charlotte and Lou’s 24 years together.

Charlotte and Lou, who have been inseparable for over two decades, are living proof that love knows no boundaries. With colorful decor reflecting their vibrant personalities and commitment to one another, this event was heartwarming and brought a smile to everyone’s faces. Even as Charlotte faces the challenges of dementia, her spirit shines brightly. She enjoyed every minute of this special day.

“This celebration was all about love, joy, and being true to who you are,” says Monique Browning, Executive Director of Harvest of Roanoke. “Their love story is as colorful and beautiful as a rainbow, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor it. Charlotte and Lou’s story is a beautiful reminder that love is ageless, timeless, and always worth celebrating.”
