Arabella of Red Oak Senior Living bloomed with spring spirit at its recent Garden Club kick-off event.
Fifteen enthusiastic residents, all Green Thumb Garden Club members, gathered for an afternoon of planting and socializing. Local company Outside Gardens generously sponsored the event by donating flowers and plants. One of Outside Gardens’ representatives, Richard Jimenez, guided the residents as they planted vibrant blooms.
While enjoying refreshments on the sunny patio, residents collaborated on their planting project. Green Thumb members actively assisted their peers, creating a spirit of camaraderie. As a special touch, each resident even had the opportunity to choose a plant to keep and cherish in their rooms.
“As advocates for holistic wellness and community engagement, we are thrilled to introduce our Green Thumb Garden Club to the community,” remarked Amanda Barron, Executive Director at Arabella of Red Oak. “Gardening is a fulfilling hobby and a therapeutic activity that promotes physical and mental well-being. As our residents embark on this exciting journey of nurturing green spaces and fostering connections, we hope that they will cultivate beautiful gardens, friendships, and a sense of belonging within our community.”
The event was a resounding success, celebrating the beauty of nature, the joys of gardening, and the strong sense of community involvement that thrives within Arabella of Red Oak Senior Living.
