Consider living in a senior living community that not only provides exceptional care, but also fosters creativity and community involvement. That’s what Texan residents of Alexis Pointe of Wimberley experience every day.
Recently, they undertook a remarkable project that transformed a drab silo tank into a vibrant work of art. We’ll walk you through the project and how it has impacted the community.
How and why did Wimberley seniors paint their mural?
After agreeing to improve and repurpose the old silo tank on their property, some of the community’s most creative minds came together to brainstorm ideas about what it could become. They then decided to create a stunning work of art for seniors that could be a centerpiece of the community. Over the next few months, residents worked tirelessly to paint the tank in beautiful, bright colors to create an eye-catching design.
This transformation significantly benefited the community. Residents were excited to be a part of one of our biggest art projects for seniors, which helped to bring everyone together in a beautiful way. The silo tank went from being a simple piece of storage to becoming a highlight of the Alexis Pointe community.
What was our mural unveiling party like?
The joy we felt at our mural unveiling party was indescribable. Seeing the finished product for the first time, surrounded by our community of residents and supporters, was a truly special moment. There was even a barbecue feast with live music!
What are some other ways our community members explore the arts?
